: Tightening Torque
ON-VEHICLE SERVICE
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Remove clutch cable joint nut (1).
3) Remove joint pin (2) from clutch release lever (3).
4) Remove clutch cable outer bolts (1) at dash panel (2) in engine
room.
5) Disconnect cable hook from clutch pedal, then take off cable.
INSPECTION
Inspect clutch cable and replace it for any of the following condi-
tions.
D Excessive cable friction
D Frayed cable
D Bent or kinked cable
D Broken boots
D Worn end

1. Clutch cable
2. Release lever
3. Joint pin:
Apply grease
99000-25010
to joint pin and
also cable end hook.
4. Joint nut
5. Clutch pedal
6. Pedal bracket
7. Adjusting bolt
8. Lock nut
9. Clutch cable hook:
Apply grease A
99000-25010 to
cable hook.
