Airbag and pretensioners: Precautions for the repair
I - PROCEDURE FOR DEACTIVATING AND
ACTIVATING THE SAFETY SYSTEMS
Bodywork and pyrotechnic component
Disconnection, wiring operation and removal:
- dashboard
- seat
- steering column switch assembly
- driver's front airbag
- passenger's front airbag
- front chest-level side airbag
- rear chest-level side airbag
- curtain side airbag
- anti-submarining airbag
- front seat lap belt pretensioner
- front side seat belt
- rear side seat belt
- pyrotechnic battery terminal
- automatic roll-hoops
Bodywork operation
- dent removal
- jacking
- replacing non-removable components (weld)
Operation on a door (if the door is equipped with
a side impact sensor):
- adjustment with a striking tool
- removal of an electric window mechanism
- removal of a lock
- removal of an exterior handle
- removal of a window
