Tightening torquesm

upper bolt of the front

IMPORTANT
To avoid all risk of damage to the systems, apply
the safety and cleanliness instructions and opera-
tion recommendations before carrying out any
repair (see 88C, Air bag and Pretensioners, Air-
bag and pretensioners: Precautions for the
repair, page 88C-7) .
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION

IMPORTANT
Never handle the pyrotechnic systems (preten-
sioners or airbags) near to a source of heat or
naked flame - they may be triggered.
a Disconnect the battery (see 80A, Battery, Battery:
Removal - Refitting, page 80A-4) .
a Remove:
- the B-pillar upper trim (see B-pillar upper trim:
Removal - Refitting) (71A, Body internal trim),
- the B-pillar lower trim (see B-pillar lower trim: Re-
moval - Refitting) (71A, Body internal trim).
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
21 Nm
21 N.m
a Unclip the front side seat belt at (1) using a flat-blade
screwdriver.
a Remove the upper bolt (2) from the front side seat
belt.
