SECTION 11: OPTIONAL FEATURES
Color Mapping Order of Operation
When printing a dual source job with Color Mapping, it's
important to understand the order that the laser will follow
for engraving and cutting.
1. First it will engrave any color mapped raster jobs in
order from top to bottom of the color map list.
2. Next, any black raster engraving.
3. Next, color mapped vector jobs in order from top to
bottom of the color map list.
4. Finally the black vector lines.
In the color map list, you can move between CO2 and fiber
etching or CO2 and vector cutting and back again.
Focusing a Dual Source Job
1. Start by restoring the zero position of the table by
moving to the Focus function on the Keypad. Double
Center-click the joystick then tilt the Joystick to the
right to restore the table to the zero position.
2. In the Laser Dashboard, turn on Auto Focus on the
General tab and set your piece thickness for the
black and grayscale parts of your image.
3. In Color Mapping, set the thickness for each material
you have color mapped.
4. If you are annealing a part or need to adjust the
focal point into the object (such as if you are cutting
acrylic), you can also set an offset for both the
black portion of the job as well as any color mapped
sections.
