Variable flow diagnostics
This mode can be used to check how many steps
the stepping motor needs to move to obtain a
flow of 500 ml/min.
1. Start the AK 95 S, enter the Service menu
and select Calibrations.
2. Place A-pickup tube in the concentrate
container.
3. Select Other / Variable flow to initiate the
calibration.

Steps: The position of the stepper motor
(steps). It can be adjusted with the set knob.
•
Flow: The average dialysis flow in the
AK 95 S.
•
Calibr. steps: The number of steps at
entrance to service/function check according
to a previous calibration.
Note: If variable flow is not installed following
attention will be displayed:
VARIABLE FLOW IS NOT INSTALLED
Check preset
When diagnostics is aborted (pressing HOLD)
the machine will re-position the motor to the
calibrated value and show the following informa-
tion:
ADJUSTING VARIABLE DIALYSIS FLOW
