21.
Start the machine using the following
settings: Suitable mode (Acetate or
Bicarbonate) UF
Temperature 37 °C
Conductivity 14 mS/cm
22.
Run the machine for at least 30 minutes
with the fluid passing through the
measuring cell of the Reference Instru-
ment before continuing with the check of
functions and calibrations. Meanwhile,
check the fluid path for air leakages, fluid
leakages and salt deposits.
23.
Adjust the second pressure regulator to
120-125 mmHg, before the heater,
according to the Service Manual.
24.
Turn off the power supply main switch.
Disconnect the silicone T-connector.
Note! Be careful when opening the fluid
tubes. Put a piece of paper around the tube
connector to avoid leakage inside the
monitor.
25.
Turn on the power supply main switch
again and start the AK 95 S.
26.
Check the conductivity indications, at
approximately 14 mS/cm.
Use GXL - fluid monitor screen and a
reference instrument connected to the
dialysis fluid tubes.
The indicated conductivity values (for
cond.cell P) in GXL should correspond to
the indication on the reference instru-
ment. The maximum deviation is ±0.3 mS/
cm.
27.
Check the temperature indications, at
approximately 37 °C.
Use GXL - fluid monitor screen and a
reference instrument connected to the
dialysis fluid tubes.
The indicated temperature value (at the
conductivity cell P) should correspond to
the indication on the reference instru-
ment. The maximum deviation is ±1.5 °C.
If the deviation is more than the stated
tolerance; the affected temperature
transducer must be exchanged.

28.
Perform a full calibration of the UF-cell
according to the Service manual.
29.
Place the blood monitor on the fluid
monitor. Let the machine pass Fch.
30.
Start the heparin pump.
31.
Check the DC leakage between TP 5
(Z0VL) on the Control CPU board and the
metal on the heater rod. Measure in DC
Voltage, should be < 1 V.
32.
Place the blood monitor on the sideboard.
33.
Check the DC leakage between TP 5
(Z0VL) on the Control CPU board and the
cover of the suction pump motor. Measure
in DC Voltage, should be < 1 V.
34.
Check the DC leakage between TP 5
(Z0VL) on the Control CPU board and the
cover of the degassing pump motor.
Measure in DC Voltage, should be < 1 V.
35.
Check the DC leakage between TP 5
(Z0VL) on the Control CPU board and the
suction pump head. Measure in DC
Voltage, should be < 1 V.
36.
Check the DC leakage between TP 5
(Z0VL) on the Control CPU board and the
degassing pump head. Measure in DC
Voltage, should be < 1 V.
