Description
CAUTION:
After you shut down an Ethernet interface with this command, it cannot forward packets, even if it is
physically connected.
Use shutdown to shut down an Ethernet interface.
Use undo shutdown to bring up an Ethernet interface.
By default, an Ethernet interface is in up state.
Examples
# Shut down and then bring up Ethernet 1/0/1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface ethernet 1/0/1
[Sysname-Ethernet1/0/1] shutdown
[Sysname-Ethernet1/0/1] undo shutdown
# Shut down all member ports in the port group named group1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] port-group manual group1
[Sysname-port-group-manual-group1] shutdown

Syntax
speed { 10 | 100 | 1000 | auto }

Parameters
10: Sets the interface speed to 10 Mbps.
100: Sets the interface speed to 100 Mbps.
1000: Sets the interface speed to 1000 Mbps.
auto: Enables the interface to negotiate a speed with its peer.
