Preparing the Fraction Collector
Solvent Information
(HFIP). To ensure the longest possible life with HFIP, it is best to dedicate a
particular chamber to this solvent, not to switch solvents, and not to let dry
out the chamber. For optimizing the life of the pressure sensor, do not leave
HFIP in the chamber when the unit is off.
The tubing of the leak sensor is made of PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), which
is incompatible to the solvent DMF (dimethyl formamide).
Sapphire, Ruby and Al
Sapphire, ruby and ceramics based on aluminum oxide Al
almost all common acids, bases and solvents. There are no documented
incompatibilities for HPLC applications.
