Step 3. Remove the 3.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drives (see "Removing a 3.5-inch hot-swap hard disk
drive" on page 202).
Step 4. Remove the air baffle (see "Removing the air baffle" on page 188).
Step 5. Remove the fan cage assembly (see "Removing the fan cage assembly" on page 261).
Step 6. Note where the power, signal, and configuration cables are connected to the 3.5-inch hard disk
drive backplane; then, disconnect them (see "Internal cable routing and connectors" on page 33).
Step 7. Press the release latches, then, rotate and release the 3.5-inch HDD backplane away from the
server chassis.
