4.9 Connecting the IM 154-4 PN High Feature Interface Module with CM IM PN PP Cu
Connecting push-pull cable connector
Plug the push-pull cable connector for 1L+/2L+ and RJ45 into the associated sockets on the
CM IM PN PP Cu connection module. The connectors must engage. Ensure that the locking
mechanism between the connector and socket is properly applied.

NOTICE
Removing the push-pull cable connectors
It is not permissible to remove the push-pull cable connector for 1L+/2L+ while ET 200pro is
in operation! Always switch off the 1L+ electronics/encoder supply and the 2L+ load voltage
supply before you pull or plug the push-pull cable connector.
Note
If you remove the push-pull cable connector used for looping through of PROFINET IO or
1L+/2L+, the downstream modules on PROFINET IO will fail or will no longer be supplied
with power.
Covering unused sockets
Cover all unused push-pull sockets with caps in order to achieve degree of protection IP65,
IP66, or IP67.
