Cylinder Head Cover
1) Remove the breather cover (1).
2) Remove the cylinder head cover (2) from the
cylinder head.
Camshaft
1) Remove the CKP sensor cover (1).

2) Remove all of the spark plugs. Refer to "Spark Plug
Removal and Installation: in Section 0B".
Special tool
: 09930–10121 (Spark plug wrench set)
3) Turn the crankshaft clockwise and align the "T" mark
on the CKP rotor with the center of the CKP sensor.
Also, position the notches "A" on the right end of
each camshaft as shown.

4) After removing the spring holder bolt (2) and spring
(3), remove the cam chain tension adjuster (4).

5) Remove the camshaft journal holders.
NOTE
Be sure to loosen the camshaft journal
holder bolts evenly and in a crisscross
pattern.
6) Remove the intake (5) and exhaust camshafts (6).

Cylinder Head
1) Remove the cam chain guide (1).
