Authentication / Security Settings (Tools Administrator Mode)

This option only applies to users who are authenticated by smart cards.
Maximum Login Attempts
This feature protects the settings from being changed by someone impersonating the
system administrator. If the administrator's authentication fails for more than a
specified number of continuous times, access is denied. Select between 1-10 for the
number of maximum login attempts.
Passcode Policy
Select whether or not a passcode is required when a user or the administrator uses the
machine. This feature is used for entry through the machine's control panel. When
using remote devices, such as CentreWare Internet Services, a passcode must ALWAYS
be entered. A passcode must be 4-12 digits.

Selecting the Authentication Features / Options

1. Log in as the administrator.
2. Press the Machine Status button on the press User Interface (UI).
3. Select the Tools tab.
4. Select Authentication / Security Settings.
5. Select Authentication.
6. Select the desired feature to set or change (such as Login Type or Access Control).
7. Select the item to be set or changed, and select Change Settings (if necessary).
8. Select the desired setting for that item.
9. Select Save.
The previous screen is displayed.
10. Repeat the previous steps for any other desired Authentication features.
11. When finished, select Close.
The main Tools tab screen displays.
12. Exit the administrator mode.

Selecting the Access Control Options

1. Log in as the administrator.
2. Press the Machine Status button on the press User Interface (UI).
3. Select the Tools tab.
4. Select Authentication / Security Settings > Authentication .
5. Select Access Control.
6. Select Device Access.
a) Select Unlocked or Locked for each pathway selection.
b) Select Save.
The previous screen displays.
