Localizing the SPA400 Voice Mail Prompts

By default, the voice mail system is configured for the English language. You can localize the
system by downloading and installing the appropriate language files for your region.
1. Download the files:
a. Start Internet Explorer, enter the address of the EMEA Portal
www.linksys-itsp.com), and log on.
b. In the left navigation pane, select the following links: FW & Tools > LVS > Localization
> SPA400 Voice mail prompts.
c. Select the download link for the language that you want.
NOTE: For SPA400 Firmware versions above 1.0.1.3, download the PCM format of the
files.
d. Save the sounds.zip file.
NOTE: North American partners can find localization files in the Utilities area of the Linksys
Partner Connection.
2. Extract the files:
a. Use WinZip to open the sounds.zip file.
b. Click Extract on WinZip toolbar.
c. Select the Desktop or other temporary destination, select the Use folder names check
box, and then click Extract.
A progress bar appears as the files are extracted. The Sounds folder appears in the
selected location.
