Power Steering Vane Pump Removal - Lexus 2005 IS300 User Manual

STEERING
REMOVAL
1.
Remove the 16 screws, clip and No. 1 engine under cover.
2.
SST
Using SST, loosen the drive belt tension by turning the drive belt
tensioner clockwise from the bottom side, and remove the drive
belt.

Remove the clip and disconnect the return hose.
NOTICE:
I22629
Take care not to spill fluid on the drive belt and oil pressure
switch connector.

Remove the union bolt and gasket and disconnect the pressure
feed tube.

Remove the 2 bolts and PS vane pump assembly.

REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
REMOVE DRIVE BELT
SST 09216-00041
DISCONNECT OIL PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTOR
DISCONNECT RETURN HOSE
DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE
REMOVE PS VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY
