After you finish
1. If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and
use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
2. Remove the M.2 backplane from the air baffle. See
Install the air baffle
Follow instructions in this section to install the air baffle.
About this task
Attention: Read "Installation Guidelines" on page 45
that you work safely.
Procedure
Note: Close the retaining clip on each end of the memory module connector before installing the air baffle
for proper cooling.
Step 1. Align the air baffle tabs with the air baffle slots on both sides of the chassis; then, lower the air
baffle into the server until it is securely seated.

Step 2. Slightly press the air baffle down until it is securely seated.
After you finish
1. Reconnect the M.2 backplane cables to the M.2 power connector and the signal connector on the
system board assembly.
