Procedure
Step 1. Make preparation for this task.
a. Remove the top cover. See
b. Remove all of the 2.5-inch hot-swap drives and the drive bay fillers (if any) from the drive bays.

c. Disconnect the power and signal cables from the 2.5-inch drive backplane.
Step 2. Remove the 2.5-inch drive cage assembly.
a. Loosen the two thumbscrews that secure the drive cage assembly to the chassis.
b. Slide the drive cage assembly out of the chassis.
