Repair kits
For the repair or replacement of METRAL™ signal pins, use one of the following repair
kits:

This kit includes the tools, parts and instructions for repair and replacement of signal pins.
Replacement pins
Replacement pins are available. These pins are defined by the mating length extending
beyond the inside of the plastic shroud and by their tail length for press-fitting into the
backplane. The tail length includes a compliant press-fit section needed to achieve a
gas-tight connection in four contact areas. All the METRAL™ pins used on the
Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-60 shelves have the same tail length of 4.30 mm (0.169 in.).
Additional replacement signal pins may be ordered in packages of 100 by the part number
shown in
