4–2–1 Basic Controls
Step Check
1. Connect the sector or convex
transducer to "Probe 1"
connector beneath keyboard.
2. Turn ON Power toggle switch.
3. Type USER ID and then press
return key.
4. Press N key.
5. Click Dynamic Range up/down. Image grows softer and harder depending on position.
6. Rotate B/M Gain knob.
7. Slide TGC potentiometers
(pots).
8. Rotate Depth knob.
9. Press Reverse key.
10. Press Reverse key again.
Expected result
PATIENT ENTRY MENU should appear.
After a few seconds, the B mode screen should appear
as shown in ILLUSTRATION 4–1.
Image grows lighter and darker with rotation.
Image grows darker or brighter at depth equivalent to
pot's location.
The depth of image should be magnified/reduced.
The image reverses the left/right orientation.
The image reverses the left/right orientation.
