Removing the side-mounted iPDU: Complete the following steps to remove the
side-mounted iPDU from the rack:
1. Follow the steps in "Director power-off procedure" on page 222.
2. Turn off power and disconnect the ac power distribution bus from the
customer's ac power outlet. Record the locations of the director ac power cables
that are plugged into the iPDU.
3. Unplug the director ac power cables from the iPDU.
4. Remove the four screws from the iPDU. Set aside for later use.
5. With one hand under the iPDU to support it, remove the iPDU from the rack.
6. Set the iPDU aside. Follow the return instructions that accompany the
replacement iPDU.
Replacing the side-mounted iPDU: Complete the following steps to replace the
side-mounted director iPDU:
1. Insert the new iPDU (PN 00FW787) into the cutout until the iPDU mounting
tabs are against the nut clips.
2. Insert the four screws through the iPDU mounting tabs and into the nut clips.
Tighten each screw.
3. Reattach the iPDU power cable to the iPDU and to the power source.
4. Reconnect any director power cables that you disconnected from the iPDU,
using the locations you noted during the removal process.
5. Follow the steps in "Step 11. Power on the rack" on page 221.
Use this procedure to remove and replace the front or rear rack doors.
Removing the rack door
Perform the following steps to remove the front or rear door:
1. Open the door of the rack.
2. Remove the door by lifting it up and out.
3. Remove the hinge bracket (if necessary) by removing the hinge mounting
screws that attach the bracket to the rack. See Figure 72 on page 225.
