System component
Description
ICL trunking
Can configure the following maximum QSFPs per trunk depending
on blade type connecting:
v Up to four 4x32 Gbps QSFP ports in a trunk group can form a

v Up to four 4x16 Gbps QSFP ports in a trunk group can form a
Four 32 Gbps ports in a QSFP form a 128-Gbps link.
A minimum of two QSFP connections are required for a trunk.

SAN256B-6 : 8 Tbps per chassis (192 ports with 32 Gbps data rate

SAN512B-6 : 16 Tbps per chassis (384 ports with32 Gbps data rate
plus 32 4x32 Gbps ICLs)
ISL trunking
Can use up to 8 ports in a trunk group to form a 256-Gbps trunk.
UltraScale ICL
SAN256B-6 : 2 Tbps; 16 UltraScale ICL ports provide the equivalent
bandwidth
of 64 32-Gbps ports. Each UltraScale ICL port provides 128-Gbps
bandwidth over a QSFP (32 Gbps x 4) link.
SAN512B-6 : 4 Tbps; 32 UltraScale ICL ports provide the equivalent
of 128 32-Gbps ports. Each UltraScale ICL port provides 128 Gbps
bandwidth over a QSFP (32 Gbps x 4) line.
Both models: Frame-based trunking is enabled between four
UltraScale ICLs. DPS distributes exchanges across all frame trunks.
Power inlet
C20; power from non-port side.
Power supplies
SAN256B-6 : Up to two modular, hot-swappable AC power
supplies providing 1450 W (100-120 VAC) and 2870 W (200-240
VAC).
SAN512B-6 : Up to four modular, hot-swappable AC power
supplies providing 1450 W (100-120 VAC) and 2870 W (200-240
VAC).
Note: Refer to "Power Supply Requirements" section of this
Technical Specification for details on minimum power supplies
required for operation and redundancy.
Cooling
SAN256B-6 : Two fan assemblies, nonport-side exhaust or intake,
for 1+1 redundancy. Each assembly contains 2 fans for total of 4.
System requires 3 out of 4 functioning fans for operation. One fan
assembly can be hot-swapped, but must be replaced immediately.
SAN512B-6 : Three fan assemblies, nonport-side exhaust or intake,
for 2+1 redundancy. Each assembly contains 2 fans for total of 6.
System requires 5 out of 6 functioning fans for operation. One fan
assembly can be hot-swapped, but must be replaced immediately.
512 Gbps trunk between two CR32-4 blades. For trunks
containing four or fewer QSFP ports, ports in trunk must be
located in the same port group on each blade.
Up to four 4x32 Gbps QSFP ports in a trunk group can form a
512-Gbps trunk between a CR32-4 and CR32-8 blade. For trunks
containing four or fewer QSFP ports, ports in trunk must be
located in the same port group on each blade.
256-Gbps trunk between a CR32-X (CR32-8 or CR32-4) blade and
CR16-X blade (Gen 5 CR blade).
