Armature Coil

1. Check the continuity across the commutator and
armature coil core with a resistance range circuit
tester (Fig. 0792).
2. If it conducts, replace the armature.
3. Check the continuity across the segments of the
commutator with a resistance range circuit tester
(Fig. 0793).
4. If it does not conduct, replace the armature.

Field Coil

1. Check the continuity across the lead and brush with
a circuit tester (Fig. 0794).
2. If it does not conduct, replace the yoke assembly.
3. Check the continuity across the brush and yoke with
a circuit tester (Fig. 0795).
4. If it conducts, replace the yoke assembly.
