Alternator Testing

Stator

1. Measure the resistance across each lead of the
stator coil with the resistance range on a circuit
tester (Fig. 0684).

2. If the measurement is not less than 1 ohm, replace
the stator.
3. Check the continuity across each stator coil lead and
the core with the resistance range on a circuit tester
(Fig. 0685).
4. If infinity is not indicated, replace the stator.
