Throttle Cable Adjustment

1. Raise the hood.
2. Remove the right hand side panel (Fig. 0617).
3. Move the air intake hose out of the way of the
throttle plate. Using a 1/4" wrench, loosen the
throttle cable swivel (Fig. 0618).

4. There should be approximately 3/16" to 1/4" (0.48 to
0.635cm) of cable through the swivel (Fig. 0619).
5. To adjust the amount of cable going through the
swivel (Fig. 0620):
a. Using two 7/16" wrenches, loosen the two
adjusting nuts securing the cable to the throttle
bracket.
b. To shorten the cable: thread the nuts toward the
cable end.
c. To lengthen the cable, thread the nuts further
onto the cable.
