Creating Array
To create an array, first confirm that array disks are installed and connected in the system properly
and follow the procedure below:
1.
Start SCSISelect.
2.
Press C on the Main menu.
IMPORTANT:
To create an array, two hard disk drives of the same part number are
required.
Hard disk drives which are already a part of an array configuration
cannot be selected.
3.
Select the RAID type to be built.
If the selected information is highlighted, the message associated with the minimum and
maximum numbers of required drives and the spare assignment to each drive appears.
press Enter.
4.
Press the space bar on the Select RAID Member menu and select the hard disk drives used
for the array.
Symbol X appears at the side of each selected drive. If you press the space bar twice,
"Spare" appears at the side of each of the drives for which spares are available. Press
Enter.
IMPORTANT:
This machine does not allow setting spare drives.
