4-44 Configuring Your Server
The following describes the clearing procedure.
Observe the following instructions to use the server safely. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in death or serious personal injury. See pages
1-2 to 1-6 for details.
1.
Power off the CPU blade to be removed.
2.
Remove the CPU blade from the Blade Assembly Unit (see Chapter 3).
3.
Change the desired jumper switch setting.

Reassemble the CPU blade and power on.
5.
Wait for a while.
6.
Power off the CPU blade.
7.
Restore the jumper switch setting, install the CPU blade in the Blade Assembly Unit, and
power on again. Run the SETUP utility to reconfigure the CPU blade.
Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the server.
Do not remove lithium, nickel cadmium, or nickel hydrogen battery.
Observe the following instructions to use the server safely. Failure to follow
these instructions may cause a fire, personal injury, or property damage. See
pages 1-2 to 1-6 for details.
Make sure to complete device installation.
Do not install the device with its cover and fan unit removed. Avoid
installation in extreme temperature conditions.
Do not lose the clip.
