Using Windows 2000
[If PROSet is not installed]
1.
Highlight [Settings] from the Start menu and click on [Network and Dial-up
Connections].
The [Network and Dial-up Connections] dialog box appears.
2.
Right-click on the [Local Area Connection] icon and click on [Properties] from the popup
menu.
The [Local Area Connection properties] dialog box appears.
3.
Click on [Configure].
The [Property of Network Adapter] dialog box appears.
4.
Click on the [Detailed Setting] tab and set [Link Speed & Duplex] to the same value as
the one set for the hub.
5.
Click on [OK] in the [Property of Network Adapter] dialog box.
6.
Click on [OK] in the [Property of Local Area Connection] dialog box.
In addition, add or delete protocols and services if necessary. To do this, display the
[Property of Local Area Connection] dialog box from [Network and Dialup Connection].
[If PROSet is installed]
1.
Double-click [Intel(R) PROSet Wired] on the [Control Panel] window.
The [Intel(R) PROSet for Wired Connections] dialog box appears.
2.
Click [Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Dual Port Network Connection] in the list.
3.
Click [Link Config] and specify the Speed value & Duplex value according to the value
specified for HUB.
4.
Click [Apply] and click [OK] on the [Intel(R) PROSet for Wired Connections] dialog box.
Specify the other network driver with the same progress above.
If necessary, add or delete any protocols and services.
You can operate the process on the property dialog box for local area network which can be
appeared from [Network and Dial-up Connection].
NOTE: It is recommended to add [Network Monitor] by the service
addition feature. The network monitor can monitor the frames (or
packets) transmitted by the computer in which the network monitor is
installed. The tool is effective for analyzing network faults. See "Setup
for Fault Processing" described later for the installation procedure.
