Note the followings in the installation or removal of the riser card.
Be careful not to touch with your bare hands the terminals and the lead wires of electronic
parts on the riser card. Oil and/or dirt on the hands may adhere to the terminals and lead
wires, resulting in improper connections or the lead wires may be defected and cause
malfunctions.
For the optional ROMs on the unbooted LAN device, set "Disabled" with the BIOS setup
utility.
If a bootable PCI card (such as disk array controller or LAN board) is added, check the
start procedure on the [Boot] menu of the BIOS SETUP utility.
Installation
Install an additional slot card on the riser card in the following procedure.
NOTE:
the connection port on the board engages with the connector on the riser
card.

Shutdown the CPU Blade that will be removed, and turn off the power of the CPU blade.
43.
Take the CPU blade out from the Blade Assembly Unit.
Refer to the User's Guide of the Blade Assembly Unit.
44.
Put the CPU blade on a clean anti-static sheet.
45.
Remove the riser card from the CPU blade.
