If the optional board is installed, select the proper SCSI Adapter and press Enter.
– Adaptec HostRAID U320 Driver Ver 1.02 For Windows 2000/XP/2003
(When onboard Adaptec HostRAID controller is used.)
Then continue the proper jobs depending on the messages. Refer to the "First Step Guide" for
details of the installation.
After the file copy, the system is automatically restarted. Then provide the setup depending on the
directions on the screen. Refer to the "First Step Guide" for details.
<Procedures for using the CD-ROM drive of N8460-001>
1.
Insert the Windows 2000 CD-ROM into the USB CD-ROM disk drive connected to the
CPU blade.
2.
Turn on the power to start the CPU blade.
3.
If the CPU blade is connected with a USB CD-ROM drive, press F6 when the message
"Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration..." appears at the top of the
screen.
NOTES:
In this status, pressing F6 does not change the screen display at all.
Conduct key entries when the access lamp on the USB floppy disk
drive is off (or access to the floppy disk does not occur).
The following steps are not required if the key F6 does not need to be pressed. Then
provide the setup depending on the directions on the screen. Refer to the "First Step
Guide" for details.
4.
If the following message appears, press S.
Setup could not determine the type of one or more mass storage
devices installed in your system, or you have chosen to
manually specify an adapter. Currently, Setup will load
support for the following mass storage devices.
The following message appears.
manufacturer-supplied hardware support disk
5.
Insert the N8460-001 Driver FD into the floppy disk drive and press Enter.
The driver for the USB CD-ROM drive appears.
6.
Select "USB driver" and press Enter.
NOTE: Conduct key entries when the access lamp on the USB floppy
disk drive is off (or access to the floppy disk does not occur).
Please insert the disk labeled
into Drive A:
* Press ENTER when ready.
