6-14 Installing and Using Utilities

DeploymentManager

You can implement or manage a target machine, that is, you can perform a BIOS update or an OS
clear installation from management server to target blade server connected to the network.

Installation of DeploymentManager

Install the DeploymentManager to manage the server by using the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER
CD-ROM.
1.
Start Windows operating system.
2.
Insert the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Automatically display the Master control menu by Autorun function.
3.
Click [Setup] – [DeploymentManager].
The installer of DeploymentManager starts.

<CD-ROM drive letter> :\DPM\MANUAL\users_guide(Advanced).pdf
NOTE: If you perform an OS installation, the update module of
language to be supported from [Setup] - [Register Update Module on
DPM] must be registered.
For an English OS Installation, choose [for English OS
installation].
For a French OS Installation, choose [for French OS installation].
For a Simplified Chinese OS Installation, choose [for Simplified
Chinese OS installation].
After registering, specify [OEM driver large capacity memory device]
and [Update system] on the [Operating System] tab in the scenario file.
With [OEM driver large capacity memory device], specify the same
language as the one the OS installation performed. [EN] is English,
[FR] is French, and [ZH] is Simplified Chinese.
