1. Remove the rear cover.

1. Open the feed cover.

2. Disconnect all the fifteen connectors
from the DF control board.
3. Remove the screw [1].
4. Remove four screws [2] and remove
the DF control board [3].
NOTE
• Be sure to perform the following
operation when the DF control
board is replaced.
5. Replace the EEPROM.
6. Upgrade the firmware.

manual.

remove the document width detec-
tion variable resistor cover [2].
