PERIODIC INSPECTI0NS

It is recommended that a complete engine overhaul
be performed after 300 operating hours.
ltem Inspection
Fastener Check the following:
torque • Cylinder head bolts
• Cylinder head cover
bolts
• Exhaust cover bolts
• Carburetor
mounting bolts
• Intake manifold
bolts
• Crankcase bolts
• Flywheel nut
• Starter motor
installation bolts
(where applicable)
• Driveshaft housing
bolts
• Gearcase bolts
• Propeller shaft
housing bolts
• Propeller nut
• Lower engine cover
mounting bolts
• Engine mounting
bolts
Gearcase • Check oil level and
add oil as required.
• Check for water
or metallic matter
in gear oil.
Spark • Check plug gap.
Plugs • Remove carbon
deposits.
Carbure- • Disassemble and
tors clean.
• Check float valve
for wear.
Fuel Tank, • Disassemble, clean,
Pick-up and inspect.
Tube, • Check for leakage.
Filters, • Check for cracks.
