COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
3. Horn
A: REMOVAL
1) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2) Remove the front bumper face. <Ref. to EI-29,
FRONT BUMPER FACE, REMOVAL, Front
Bumper.>
3) Disconnect the harness connector.
4) Remove the horn bracket mounting bolt, and re-
move the horn assembly.

(1) Lo side horn
(2) Hi side horn
B: INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque:
Lo side: 18 N·m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
Hi side: 13 N·m (1.3 kgf-m, 9.6 ft-lb)
C: INSPECTION
With 12 V direct current supply between horn termi-
nal and case ground, check that the horn sounds
properly.
If defective, replace the horn.
