Base Color (Adding Color to the Background of Copies)
For details on how to program the basic copy
settings, see p. 2-4 of chapter 2 "Basic Copying" in
the Basic Operations Manual.
Use black and white originals with this mode.
If the C key is pressed, the screen returns to
the standard display.
If the copier is not equipped with the Editor, only
"Color Wheel" and "Registered Color" can be
selected.
It is recommended that you designate a light
density color for the Base Color.

This mode adds color to the background that is not part of the image in a
black and white original.
1.
Color
Press the
Creation
key.
2.
Press the BASE COLOR key.
3.
Select a color.
There are four methods for selecting a color.
Select a color from the color palette.

Select a color from the original.
(Designated Color Selection) (See p. 1-67.)
Select a color that was previously registered.
(Registered Color Selection) (See p. 1-69.)
Select a color from the color wheel.
(Color Wheel Selection) (See p. 1-70.)
