Gloss Adjustment for the cover page in the
"Cover mode" is carried out during the setting of the
Cover mode.
The Gloss Adjustment set with One Touch Color
carries out Gloss adjustment for all paper except the
cover.
When the paper type selection for the stack
bypass is set to AUTO, Gloss Adjustment mode can
not be selected.
When "Matte Finish" has been set the Stack
bypass can not be selected from the paper size
selection.
If Glossy is set and then Stack Bypass is
selected from the paper size selection and either
Transparency or Special paper 1 or Special paper 2
is selected as the type of paper, Glossy will be
canceled.
When making copies in the "Standard" mode
combined with "1 Q 2-sided", "Book Q 2-sided", or
"2 Q 2-sided" modes, the gloss of the reverse side
(first side) will be stronger than that of the front side
(second side).
If "Matte Finish" is set and then "1 Q 2-sided,"
"Book Q 2-sided", or "2 Q 2-sided" is selected,
"Matte Finish" will be canceled.
When making copies from the Stack bypass of
the 2nd side of 2-sided copies with "Glossy", the
reverse side's (first side) gloss will also become
stronger.

Press the OK key.
The Gloss Adjustment setting process is complete.
ONE TOUCH COLOR
is displayed.
The copier is now ready to make copies.
Gloss Adjustment can be set for the following combinations of feeding
location and types of paper.

Gloss Adjustment can not be set regardless of the paper type if Other
Sizes is selected and set to X > 17 (432 mm) and Y > 11
mm). If Gloss Adjustment is set before selecting a paper size that is X >
17 (432 mm) and Y > 11
canceled.
When "2nd side of two-sided" is set for the stack bypass, plain paper,
heavy paper/card stock, or extra heavy card stock can be selected for
"Glossy".
