The EMU uses a combination of status indicators, alphanumeric display, and an audible alarm to
indicate the operational status of the enclosure and its components. See

EMU indicator displays

The EMU status indicators are located above the alphanumeric display. See
present the same information as those on the front, lower right corner of the enclosure.
You can determine the EMU and enclosure status using the information in

Any EMU-detected condition causes this alarm
to sound.

The two-character, seven-segment display dis-
plays alphanumeric characters.
Fault indicator

The EMU Locate function is active. This dis-
play has precedence over all others. Fault

The EMU is operational. The enclosure power

(both +5 VDC and +12 VDC) is present and
correct. There are no enclosure faults.

present when power is initially applied to the
