Single Path Implementation
Failure effect
Extremely critical event on UNIX. Can cause loss of system disk.
Short term: Data transfer stops. Possible I/O errors.
Long term: Job hangs, cannot umount disk, fsck failed, disk
corrupted, need mkfs disk.
