Make sure the blower begins operating immediately.

• Navigate back to the component and check the status. It should be

• Turn off the locate function by clicking Locate > Locate Off.

Replacing the operator control panel (OCP)

This section describes the procedure for replacing the OCP.
NOTE:
This procedure assumes the storage system is running XCS 6.000 or later. If you are running an
earlier version of XCS, contact your HP-authorized service representative for assistance in replacing
the OCP.

Before you begin

Observe the following precautions when replacing the OCP.
CAUTION:
Removing the OCP significantly changes the air flow within the enclosure. The OCP must be installed
for the enclosure to cool properly. If the OCP fails, leave it in place in the enclosure until a new OCP
is available to install. Parts can be damaged by electrostatic discharge. Use proper anti-static protection.

Removing the OCP

Remove the front panel (1,

Press the OCP latch (2) and swing the panel out until it is fully open.
CAUTION:
Handle the OCP by its metal frame only. This will ensure that the electronic components are not
damaged by static discharge.
3.
Grasp the OCP by its metal frame and pull it out of the enclosure (3).
