Displaying FICON Configuration Files

Use the show ficon vsan vsan-id file all command to display the contents of all FICON configuration
files.

Chapter 29
Purpose
Accesses the FICON configuration file called
IplFile1 for VSAN 2. If this file does not exist, it
is created.
All FICON file names are restricted to

eight alphanumeric characters.
Deletes a previously created FICON
configuration file.
Enters the submode for port address 3 to edit the
contents of the configuration file named IplFile1.
The running configuration is not applied
Note
to the current configuration. The
configuration is only applied when the
ficon vsan number apply file filename
command is issued.
Edits the content of the configuration file named
IplFile1 by prohibiting port address 5 from
accessing port address 3.
Edits the content of the configuration file named
IplFile1 by blocking a range of port addresses and
retaining them in the operationally down state.
Edits the content of the configuration file named
IplFile1 by assigning the name P3 to port address
3. If the name did not exist, it is created. If it
existed, it is overwritten.
