terminal history size
The terminal history size User EXEC command configures the command history buffer size for
the current terminal session. To reset the command history buffer size to the default setting, use
the no form of this command.
Syntax
terminal history size number-of-commands
no terminal history size

number-of-commands—Specifies the number of commands the system may record in its
command history buffer. (Range: 10-216)
Default Configuration
The default command history buffer size is 10.

The terminal history size User EXEC command configures the size of the command history
buffer for the current terminal session. To change the default size of the command history
buffer, use the history line configuration command.

The maximum number of commands in all buffers is 256.
Examples
The following example configures the command history buffer size to 20 commands for the
current terminal session.
Console> terminal history size 20
show line
The show line User EXEC mode command displays line parameters.

show line [console | telnet | ssh]

console — Console terminal line.

telnet — Virtual terminal for remote console access (Telnet).
•
ssh — Virtual terminal for secured remote console access (SSH).
