hostname

The hostname Global Configuration mode command specifies or modifies the device host
name. To remove the existing host name, use the no form of the command.
Syntax
hostname name
no hostname
• name — The host name of the device. (Range: 1-158 characters)

This command has no default configuration.

The following example specifies the device host name.
Console(config)# hostname Dell

stack master

The stack master Global Configuration mode command enables forcing the selection of a stack
master. To return to the default configuration, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
stack master unit unit
no stack master
• unit— Unit number of the new master (Range: 1-2)
Default Configuration
Disables forcing the selection of a stack master.
