User Guidelines
The command is relevant for both unicast and broadcast.
Examples
The following example defines the authentication key for SNTP and grants authentication.
Console(config)# sntp authentication-key 8 md5 ClkKey
Console(config)# sntp trusted-key 8
Console(config)# sntp authenticate

sntp trusted-key

The sntp trusted-key Global Configuration mode command authenticates the identity of a
system to which Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) will synchronize. To disable
authentication of the identity of the system, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
sntp trusted-key key-number
no sntp trusted-key key-number
key-number — Key number of authentication key to be trusted. (Range: 1 - 4294967295)
Default Configuration
No keys are trusted.

Global Configuration mode
User Guidelines
The command is relevant for both received unicast and broadcast.
If there is at least 1 trusted key, then unauthenticated messages will be ignored.
Examples
The following example authenticates key 8.
Console(config)# sntp authentication-key 8 md5 ClkKey
Console(config)# sntp trusted-key 8
Console(config)# sntp authenticate
