However, there are circumstances when having a different login for each user on the workstation is
not a viable option. In these cases there are some steps you should perform to properly set up
GroupWise.

Preparing a Shared Linux Workstation
1 Right-click the GroupWise icon on the desktop, click Properties, then click the Launcher tab.
2 In the Command field, after the GroupWise executable, type a space, type
Close.
This startup option causes GroupWise to prompt for user information each time it starts.
To prevent users from being prompted for their GroupWise information, a customized
GroupWise icon can be set up for each user. Each icon should include the -@u username and
appropriate startup options for Online mode or Caching mode, as described in
"Startup Options," on page
Preparing a Shared Mac Workstation
1 Control+click the GroupWise icon on the Mac dock, then click Show in Finder.
2 In Finder, control+click the GroupWise package, then click Show Package Contents.

Starting GroupWise on a Shared Workstation
1 Start GroupWise as usual.
The login startup switch with the ? setting displays the GroupWise Startup dialog box, instead
of the GroupWise Password dialog box.
2 Type your user ID in the User ID field.
3 In the Password field, specify your password.
4 Click the mode of GroupWise you are logging in to and type additional information as
necessary, such as the TCP/IP address and port of the Post Office Agent for your post office.
5 Click OK to access your GroupWise mailbox on the shared workstation.
