2 Click Environment > General.
3 Under Refresh Interval, specify the number of minutes and seconds you want before a refresh,
then click OK.

2.5.5 Using a Web Proxy

GroupWise uses the Firefox* browser to display HTML messages. Your GroupWise administrator
might have set up a Web proxy between the Internet and your GroupWise system. If so, you must
obtain the URL or server information from your GroupWise administrator.
1 Linux: Click Tools > Options.
Mac: Click GroupWise > Preferences.
2 Click Environment > Web.
3 Select Use Proxy.
4 (Conditional) To automatically configure the proxy, select Automatic proxy configuration and
enter the proxy's URL.
5 (Conditional) To manually configure the proxy, select Manual proxy configuration, specify the
server address and port number, specify any proxy bypass addresses, then click Add.
6 Click OK.

2.5.6 Customizing Date and Time Formats

GroupWise offers several date and time formats that determine the way dates and times display
throughout the application. For example, you might prefer dates to appear with the day first,
followed by the month, and then the year, such as 24 August, 2008.
The time and date formats in GroupWise are highly customizable. You can specify the order of
elements, the type of separators between elements, whether dates are spelled out or represented by
numbers, and several other options.

Setting Default Date and Time Formats
There are three configurable date and time settings.
1 Linux: Click Tools > Options.
Mac: Click GroupWise > Preferences.
2 Click Calendar > Date/Time.
3 Set each format as needed:
