Broadcast Commands

This section describes how to configure broadcast storm control for the
switch.
Command
broadcast
packet-rate
switchport
broadcast
show interfaces
switchport

broadcast packet-rate

This command configures the global broadcast storm control threshold
level.
Syntax
broadcast packet-rate rate
rate - Threshold level as a rate; i.e., packets per second.
(Range: 240 - 1488100)
Default Setting
500 packets per second
Command Mode
Global Configuration
Command Usage
• When broadcast traffic exceeds the specified threshold, packets above
that threshold are dropped.
• The specified threshold value applies to all ports on the switch.
