4. Make sure the box contains a bag of developer mix, an ozone filter, a cleaning kit, and two
plastic sheets.
4.10.2 Fill the New Developer Unit with Developer Mix
1. Remove the new developer unit from its packaging.
Important: The black developer mix powder can make a mess. Use care when working with
it. Be careful not to get developer mix on your clothing.
2. Spread out the plastic sheet and put the developer unit on top of it. The plastic sheet will
catch any spilled developer mix.
3. Open the metal door on the top of the developer unit by pressing on the small metal tabs at
each end and pulling the tabs toward you. These tabs hold the door very firmly, and you may
need to pry the tabs with a small screwdriver, which can bend the tabs. If the tabs are bent
make sure to carefully bend them back to the correct orientation so the metal door can be
closed after the develop mix is added to the developer unit. See Figure 4-17.
