Status Scan

SPECIFIC STATUS

The Specific Status Scans report detailed information concerning each MEGAMUX PLUS com-
ponent. When the Specific Status routine is selected from the Status Scan Menu, the following
menu is displayed:
*-STATUS SCAN DISPLAY MENU-*
COMMON (TR/CK/EX)
AUTO FRAME
AGGREGATE
POWER SUPPLY
CHANNEL
Use the cursor position keys and the Return key to select a specific scan from the menu. If you
select a status scan of a channel, you specify the channel number or name as part of the selection
process. The display reports important status items for each component at both master and remote
nodes. Alarms associated with each component are also displayed. Up to eight alarms are includ-
ed in the display at any time; new alarms replace existing alarms when they occur. (If alarms are
occurring rapidly in a status display, use the alarm scan for a more complete list of recent alarms
If you desire to delete existing displayed alarms, depress the Return key, the following message
will display.
DELETE DISPLAYED ALARMS Y/N?
Depress the Y key and the Return key to delete the displayed alarms.
The items in each display are defined in the following paragraphs.

Common Set Status

The common set comprises the Transmit/Receive Logic Plus module, the Clock Generator Plus
module, and the Expansion Plus module. Most alarms and status items apply to the entire com-
mon set, except for those items that are specific to a single module (see the display definitions
below). If you are unsure of the location of a reported failure, observation of front panel indicators
on the modules may provide further information on the problem.
The Common Set status scan reports the following status items:
* STATUS SCAN FOR COMMON SET
SYNC
T/R INSERV
COMMON FAULT
CURRENT CFG
ACO

SYNC ON or OUT
IN or OUT may be reported. IN indicates that the Transmit/ Receive Logic Plus module is receiv-
ing properly synchronized data from the opposite end multiplexer. OUT indicates that the module
is unable to achieve synchronization on data received from the opposite end multiplexer.
