Modify/Display TDM Configuration
The three Modify/Display routines are identical. Each routine selects or displays parameters for one
of the three alternate MEGAMUX PLUS configurations. Each of the configurations is given a name
during channel configuration; once a name is assigned, it is displayed in the Configuration Menu.
When any one of the Modify/Display routines is selected, a Modify/Display TDM Configuration
menu is displayed. The Modify/Display routines comprise the following:
The Save Changes routine is used after channel parameters have been entered or modified; when
this routine is selected, any changes to a channel configuration are saved in non-volatile memory.
When you exit the Modify Channel Parameters routine, the cursor is automatically positioned at
Save Changes, providing quick selection of the routine. If you save changes to the currently active
configuration, a
configuration immediately.
The Modify Configuration Parameters routine allows you to enter or change the operating param-
eters of any channel in a configuration. The aggregate baud rate and configuration name are also
selected as part of the Modify Configuration Parameters routine.
The Display TDM Configuration Parameters routine displays all operating parameters for every
channel in a configuration.
The Copy Parameters from One Channel to Another routine allows you to copy parameters from an
existing channel to another channel, or to a range of sequential channels. Channel names are not
copied.
The ACO All Channels routine sets Alarm Cutoff (ACO) On for all channels in a configuration.
The ACO Off All Channels routine turns off the Alarm Cutoff for all channels in a configuration.
Copy One TDM Configuration to Another
This routine allows you to copy an existing configuration to another configuration. This routine is
useful when creating a configuration that is identical in many respects to an existing configuration.
The configuration can be copied and then modified to reflect the differences between the two con-
figurations.
Modify Activation Times/Activate Configuration
This routine determines when a configuration is to become active (i.e., be placed into actual oper-
ation). Configurations may be activated at a specific time daily, on a particular time and date, im-
mediately, or never (this selection is used to store configurations for future activation).
Change Revision Level
The Universal MEGAMUX PLUS Autoframe has several revision modes, for backward compati-
bility with older versions of the MEGAMUX PLUS. As an example, if your system is to be com-
patible with a remote 3.20 version, the local Autoframe should be set to run in 3.XX mode (the
"XX" changes with the firmware version).
In revisions 3:10 and up, the out-of-service card's revision will follow the in-service card`s, if the
local update technique is operative. Refer to Section 5, Local OOS AUTO FRAME Updating.
