Operation

MEGAMUX PLUS OPERATING ROUTINES

When no operations are being performed through the CRT interface, the following Main Menu
is displayed:
*--MAIN MENU FOR MEGAMUX PLUS [REV ----]--'
ETC.
HELP
MAIL
LOG OFF
RESET PASSWORD
RESET (DATE/TIME)
If you use the up or down cursor keys to move the cursor to ETC. and press the Carriage Return
key, the second page: of the Main Menu is displayed:

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTIONS
The first page of the MEGAMUX PLUS Main Menu displays the routines required for correct
management of the supervisory port CRT interface. The second page of the menu lists the major
operating routines for the MEGAMUX PLUS system. Figure 3-1 is an illustration of the structure
of routines listed in the Main Menu. Each routine is listed below.
Help
The Help display describes the use of Control key functions.
Mail
The Mail facility allows you to transmit messages to an operator at the opposite-end supervisory
port interface.
Log Off
When selected, the Log Off routine places the CRT interface in a protected mode. All routines
except the Alarm Scan, the Status Scan, Mail, and the Help displays will require password entry
before the routine may be used.
Reset Password
This routine allows you to change the password for your MEGAMUX PLUS system. Only one
password may be entered at any time.
Reset (Date/Time)
This routine sets the correct time and date for the MEGAMUX PLUS CRT interface. Once en-
tered, the time and date are displayed and used for alarms and the configuration activation routine.
