Overview
This section provides detailed information of the selection of status scans and the information
provided by each status scan:
GENERAL
The Status Scan provides information on the current state of the MEGAMUX PLUS system. Dis-
plays report either system status or the condition of individual MEGAMUX PLUS components.
The displays are real-time, with immediate reporting of new system developments.
Two routines control the type of scan displayed. The two routines are:

General Status
The General Status is an overview of the system, reporting primarily on the operational/non-op-
erational status of each channel in the MEGAMUX PLUS system. The display is organized ac-
cording to the shelves of MEGAMUX PLUS channels, and reports Alarm, ACO, or Unused status
for each channel, as well as the AUTO FRAME, Aggregate interface, Power Supply, and the
"Common Set" module (Transmit/Receive, Clock Generator, and Expansion). The display also
indicates which configuration is currently in use.
Specific Status
The specific status scan provides detailed information on various MEGAMUX PLUS compo-
nents. Separate displays report on:

Each display reports the status of critical functions associated with local and remote MEGAMUX
PLUS components. Alarms associated with each component are also displayed. When channel
status scans are selected, particular channels may be specified by circuit name or channel number.
Separate alarm and control status scans may be selected for each channel.
The following paragraphs define items in each display and provide general operating instructions
for using the status scans.
