Adjusting the needle thread tension
On 2-needle machines:

(1) - Thread guide
(2) - Front thread tensioning spring
(3) - Rear thread tensioning spring
To adjust the spring travel on 2-needle machines:
1. To adjust the spring travel of the rear thread tensioning spring (3),
2. Slide the stop (4) to adjust the spring travel.
3. Tighten the screw (5).
4. To adjust the spring travel of the front thread tensioning spring (2),
5. Tighten the screw (6).

loosen the screw (5).
• Longer spring travel: Slide the stop (4) down.
• Shorter spring travel: Slide the stop (4) up.
loosen and move the screw (6).
• Longer spring travel: Slide the screw (6) towards the thread
tensioning spring.
• Shorter spring travel: Slide the screw (6) away from the thread
tensioning spring.
